Dust

When I wave my curtains,
behind your silhouette
I catch that column of dust. Immobile, perpetual
yet so insignificant.

Can you feel their insignificance spreading?
reaching us, for we are just
one of those dust particles
in this gigantic universe,
and this universe the same among others.

Those particles,
I wonder if they matter.
Because I know we do.
